The BBC has announced they are switching to Rhozet's Carbon Coder for transcoding both broadcast and web videos. Does anyone know anything about Carbon Coder? It's expensive - $4,995 so it's not for the average user. How does it compare to Grass Valley's products?

 Personally, unless the app is incredibly easy, or makes perfect HD out of Youtube vids, I'd say those $$$ are better spent elsewhere. But those kind of decisions are based on office politics rather than technical merit.
