    Hello all.
I downloaded some XVID files and can't understand why XBMC won't play them.
    Here are the file specs:
    512 x 384
    Audio MPEG Layer-3 96kbps
Video Frame Rate 29 frames/second, data rate 122kbps
    Size 349MB
    Duration 0:48:31

They are BBC shows so maybe it's because they were in PAL format or is it the aspect ratio?

How can I convert them so XBMC will play them?
    Thanks.

I don't know what the specs are for XBMC. I wouldn't suspect PAL has anything to do it.

Try opening the files using gSpot and post a screenshot.

Network permissions weren't set on the files.
Now they play, but thanks for the help anyway.
