Hello i have bought a LG RH266 HDD/DVD and have it hooked up to my Xbox360 so i can capture some online gameplay,
My problem is once a have captured it put it on disc then ripped it on the PC it is going to need some major editing, and maybe converting so the file will be smaller if i want to upload it to the net, i was also thinking about adding some music
any help or advice on software would be great

    Hi...

This can be an easy task if you spend some money on software...or
a little more advanced but more flexible if use different freeware programs...

I dont know what format you source have but I expect it wold be a mpeg2 or mpeg4 video clip..

    Here it goes

use VirtualdubMOD to edit the video encode it without any audio...this format
could be xvid (encoder must be installed)....

Reopen the video file and see how long it is...add the audio with the same lenght...

start the frame server (Avisynth must be installed)

and save the .vdr file with the name ex.. 'conv.avi' hit enter

open notepad and paste this line AVISource("conv.avi")

save the text file with the file name conv.avs in the same lib as your conv.avi file...

    start WMNicEnc

    open the .avs file

use Windows Media Audio V9.2 32 kbps, 32kHz stereo CBR
and Windows Media Video 9 Bitrate 302000

If you are in PAL country and use 320x240 as output you will get a .wmv file that
will stream with approx 330kbit....size about 1.5Mbyte per min...

This is a very short explaination, but it will give you some hints how it can be done...

If you think this way is too complex play around with Windows movie maker and see what
    results you will get...

    stars....
