I have heard many explanations and a multitude of varied answers so i thought i'd ask at a place where i know the users know what they're talking about. Here we go...

here's what i was wondering..is there a way to make a menu for a VOB titleset w/o re-encoding the movie itself?I hear that older versions of TMPG dvd author can do this..Since the Files are already VOB'd,is there an application or a way to accomplish this? Basically, just making a menu and attaching it to the VOB's

I gues if you have the skill PGC edit might do it?

I couldn't fine a way to do it , the other day..

i had a vob set , but the menu ifo bup vts was screwed and the DVD would not play, all the vobs would play in my player programs

I ended up re-authoring all over again

I ask for a program to scan the vobs and create a simple run titleset

I got no response to that part of my post

  3. AFAIK, TDA can still do it and probably any other DVD Authoring programs. I know Nerovision will do it; at first it might seem it's re-encoding, but it's not. It demuxes the VOBs and if they are DVD compliant, it remuxes them when authoring. Then there's DVDAuthorGUI.
