I'm looking for decent xvid settings for doing simple stuff in VDub. I only want to add a logo here and there, nothing too fancy and I don't want to lose too much quality. I've been using the default settings so far:
Profile: Simple @ L0
Encoding type: single pass
Target quantizer: 4.00
Zones: everything at W 1.00
I didn't change anything under "advanced".
The size of the output file may be identical or slightly bigger. I don't know a lot about video editing, so please just give me a bunch of numbers and nobody wil get hurt

The default settings are probably sufficient for your purposes. I would use a target quantizer of 3 if your source is of high quality (the lower the quantizer the higher the quality of the output). I like to set the Max I Frame Interval to 100. That makes the files a little easier to seek during playback.
