Blank page when i open system restore

Guys can you shed some light on this.

When i open my system restore all i get is a blank page, so any problems i get with my pc im unable to restore it back to when it was working properly.
Im not sure if it has anything to do with the problems i had a while ago where i was getting error messages on some links.

From what I've read, the problem may be connected to Internet Explorer and problems with it. Try this link: http://bertk.mvps.org/html/tips.html#BlankWindow

Basically:

Go to Start -> Run and type or paste each of the following commands, one at a time while pressing enter after each one.

regsvr32 jscript

regsvr32 vbscript

regsvr32 /i mshtml

i done as you said but on the last one i done i got this message:
mshtml was loaded but the dll register server entry point was not found.
mshtml does not appear to be a .DLL or OCX file.

The other to was ok.

Well next step open a command prompt.

start, run, cmd

in the dos box type sfc /scannow and windows will check for corrupt, deleted and changed files. You will need your XP disk handy.

It is also quite possible that you have a Malware infestation. One of their tricks is to disable System Restore, Disable Antivirus and Anti Spyware programs, change your search page and/or home page and so on.
