    i have a video on Hi8 casstte film in my video camera and i cant load it to my pc without lots of jerking and audio corruption.ive tried pinnacle 700...help!

    what codec are you using to compress the capture? Or just plain uncompressed AVI? Sounds also like you are getting tons of dropped frames... can be caused by a bad tape, or a hard drive not capable of the transfer rate required...

    Use fire wire instead of USB, in my old Hi8 the USB port did exactly the same thing.
