I have been using WM Recorder, which records flash (FLV) and windows media clips (WMV). Well, sometimes they record, other times they don't. For example, if I go to Yahoo news, and click on the video tab, I can see news clips from various news sources. One of them is 60 Minutes, and they show previews of certain 60 Minutes features shown on Sundays. Well, WM Recorder won't record them. I've even used URL Snooper, and to no avail. I cannot find a link for the news clip.
Anyone know of any alternative software that would record these clips, aside from those screen capture utilities that will record a window of a screen, but don't record video clips very well?
i'd appreciate any help you could give me.

wm recorder don't record flv's actually
I mean if they are in "real" streaming(youtube, dailymotion) not "progressive" meaning the video is cached in your web browser
Sometimes it record tracks like mp3s i don't why but i had witnessed this. But it's rare
if you wanna record on yahoo(launch.com) you can it will work
it's all .wmv there. You need to use the ADA mode
and if you wanna record flvs there is a site here -
