  1. I wanted to convert an asf file but when I tried to open it in VDUB I got this error "the asf file is ??? bytes long, but was originally ???? bytes when encoded. It may have been truncated or corrupted. open file anyway?"
If I click yes.. just to see what would happen, I get a weird graph type screen and in this box : Estimated Call Stock, I get "Could not open debug resource file" Is there anyway of fixing this or is it garbage? I mean the file plays perfect using Windows Media Player.

You're gonna have to encode it as an mpeg in Vdub to fix the truncated parts before you'll be able to DivX .avi it in Vdub.

I'e also heard of some tools out there called asftools that may fix it.

But the re-encoding will do it for oyu. If it won't open at first, adjust the priority level of your DirectShow filter under your Global Settings.
