  1. I've an ASUS A8V-VM SE Mainboard
The onboard Audio is 6 channel one (Realtek)
The Sound seems crappy. For example, when I'm playing some audio file and open some memory intensive app, the playback stutters! (not only when opening memory intensive apps, just for normal events also, like opening Firefox...)
I guess the problem is with the crappy Realtek HD Audio Manager ..
Can that be uninstalled separately just retaining the basic audio driver?

    Nowadays..
    Even MP3 playback stutters..
can I update the realtek drivers?
OR any other 3rd party drivers suitable?

    More Info:
    Onboard Audio
    Audio Chipset : Realtek ALC660
    Audio Channels: 6 Channels

    Hi there
Yes there have been updates of realtek drivers around the net.
I do own a motherboard Gigabyte p965 with on board sound using realtek drivers and will do the same when I get around to put together my pc
I would also advice you to getmore memory for you pc it looks like it using too much memory when it comes to sound.
