Hi all, been looking for a fast encoder been using Divx Converter as I like uploading vidoe's you YouTube but it tends too take too long and was wondering is there a good video encoder that can also make me decide the file size ( like Divx Converter ) but one that works faster ? thx alot.

You could try Autogk or Dr.Divx. But I don't think you will get that much speed improvement. Another method would be to use a gui for mencoder or ffmpeg like Super, WinFF. Or convert to another video format, mpeg1 encoding is faster.

Or get a faster computer.

if you´re uploading the output of divxconvert that is mpeg2/dvd it will take a long time unless you have a super high fast internet connection. a 5 min dvd will take as much as 100 mg. Uploading 100 mg to youtube does take a lomg time.

Conversion is all about the computer. The faster the computer the shorter the encode time.

Want to speed it up. Get a fast dual core Cpu and a second hard drive. encode from one drive to another physical drive not just one drive partitioned.
