  1. I am using Dazzle DVII to capture my video in MPEG 1 22mbs, after extensive testing I found this to be pretty decent quality. I have tried to capture in MPEG 2 but my version of Nero does not allow me to convert to VCD (have to purchase an upgrade).

after capturing the video I use Nero to drag n drop into VCD. This seems to work fine on an individual file basis. If I try to drag more than 2 then Nero seems to hang in the encoding process at about 30-50% completion?

any suggestions how to fix this problem? I have tried TMPGEnc and VCDEasy but I like Nero for the simplicity.

question: I captured in MPEG1 and VCD is MPEG1, why do I need to encode? Isn't the MPEG file already in its proper format?

even if I capture in VCD format I find that Nero still wants to re-encode?

  2. DE-SELECT (In NERO) the "Make standard Compliant VCD" .... Nero wont re-encode your high Bit Rate Mpeg 1 file now

Yep, you got it Bud. The deselect is on the first main tab when you open the s/v/cd Creator dialogue
