  1. I noticed a similar post below, but not any good answers, so I'm asking in a different, more general way.

I have many mpeg's that I'd like to burn onto a VCD or SVCD to view in my DVD player. Many Mpegs I drag into Nero I have no problem with. My question, is there any way to convert other mpegs into VCD format NTSC mpegs? I know, most of these will not look that great on my TV, but I'd like to archive them in a way I can watch them on my DVD player, and share with others. All these mpegs play fine on my computer with Media player and others, but Nero says that they are invalid for a video cd. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  2. Ok, you post a decent question.

    Here is your short answer:
You convert them to a standard compatible with your dvd player.
Which more thanlikely is VCD, or SVCD.

You use TMPGENC to do this.

If you want to know how, then look to your left at the right where is says:
    WHAT IS: and read VCD
    THEN read HOW TO CONVERT.

TMPGENC is in the tools section.

    have a nice day.

  3. Thanks, I'll give TMPGENC a try. I had looked at that section before, but it looked like it was for Divx or avi files. It also looks complicated, as I am a Newbie to all this video editing and encoding stuff.

  4. Dont worry, we were all beginners some time.

TMPENC is fairly simple to use, but very complex to master.
