Only result on playing VCD is start-stop !!!

I made a vcd with adaptec. It play's ok on my comp. but on my stand alone it won't play.
The only message on my display is Vcd start and emediatly it says Vcd stop without playing anything !
What can i do wrong.
My stand alone is a Schneider HCS 500 dolby digital system.
