You may think you have everything. But, you don't until you get yourself your very own inflatable backyard theater screen:

Click on the photo for the news story. Hmm, wonder who "makes" them??? Anyone know?

Yes ... and no protection against people next door making "cam-shot" videos of the movies you show, either.

I've seen larger version of those blow up screens. One of our local hockey arenas have summer "drive in" movies with portable screens similar to those though more permanent then air. Similar idea though a non permanent foundation.

Here's the website of the screen manufacturer:

... and here's a 10-second QuickTime movie showing a speeded-up inflation of the screen (one minute in "real" time):

I suspect there are a handful of companies selling them. The page I linked to above has a 40x25 (feet) screen for just under $15K .

Of course, you have to be careful what you show. It might not be a good idea to invite a few friends over for a midnight porno party (grin). I can remember when I was growing up in Eastern Oregon (before movie ratings) that the local drive-in theater was always getting complaints from residents because kids could see graphic horror movies blocks away from the theater and couldn't sleep afterward (grin).

I guess you'd have to take a blow-up girlfriend to see a drive-in on that....
