blu-ray/hd home cinema

Hi can anyone tell me when either blu-ray or hd win the war will we have hd home cinema kits on the market with all the usual DTS and Dolby Digital sound? at the moment i have a hd sony tv with a sony home cinema kit with a hdmi connection but later on i will want to buy either a hd or blu-ray

Yes there will be such units but the way the encryption technology is structured, most people will need to replace the entire unit (amps and all) to make it work with HDCP.

There are only a few HDMI bus home theater receivers out now with HDCP decoding/pass-through. Most current units won't work with an external HD/BD DVD player when HDCP is turned on. Best to wait until you can see a potential system working with the HD/BD player HDCP turned on.
