  1. I have Nero 7 Premium, and have a problem with Nero Showtime :

    * associated file type .ifo with Nero Showtime
    * if I map a network drive letter to a particular shared folder,
open up windows explorer and double-click on video_ts.ifo, then
Showtime opens up and plays the movie
    eg m:\dvd title\video_ts\video_ts.fo

    * if however I try the same thing without mapping a drive letter, I get
an error meesage from Showtime saying that the dvd file structure is corrupt ?
    eg \\server\folder\dvd title\video_ts\video_ts.ifo

This is a particular pain because I'm trying to embed hyperlinks in Excel so that I can launch
a movie by choosing it in a spreadsheet, however Excel always converts the hyperlink target
to \\server\folder... even though I choose the target as M:\....

Anyone know if it is possible to do this with a more recent version of Nero ?

Sounds like a question for Nero. Maybe this is a known issue to Nero of Showtime not being able to access non mapped drives. Of course we are dealing with Windows, and it's possible Showtime isn't being allowed to properly access the drive without it being mapped.

A fix may also be to setup you links as http links, we do this for documents at work that are stored on various servers across the LAN. example: http://servername/dvd title/video_ts/video_ts.ifo
(servername = obviously the server name followed by the full breakdown of folders to the actual file (less folders is usually better))
