Problem with watching Videos

I got a problem watching videos online on yahoo videos. when i watch vidz on there is a green screen with sound ? whats going on? I got IE 7.0 & media player 11

You don't have the correct codec installed.

What type of files are you trying to watch? Once you know the file type, download and install the codec for that type of file.

Just an FYI: WMP11 seems to still have a few issues, especially with streaming video, from what I've seen from the posts here.

it was a .wmv file. any ideas also sometimes i have problems with the Flash movies 2

You can try download and installing the wmv codec pack from M$...it is in the download section.

Next, I would try uninstalling/reinstalling WMP11.

Or you can just go back to WMP10 which will most likely resolve the whole issue.

As for flash movies, all you should need to do is ensure you have the latest version installed.

i reformated my computer and the same problems comes up..under WM10 for IE7. i cant find the codec pack for it
