I've been using Avi.net to convert my dvd's to my hard drive with no problem until as of late. I started getting audio out of sync when converting (not on every movie), or the audio stream (example: the Lord of War dvd) in avi.net gives me 2 streams off the dvd.

T02 2_0ch 192Kbps 0ms AC3 (which is just the director comments while the movie is playing)
    T01 3_2ch 448Kbps 70130ms AC3 ( which is just a high pitch noise)

I can't seem to find the correct stream. I'm I just inputing the wrong .vob file on the dvd, or I'm I doing something else wrong.

all the programs that i've been using (if it helps) are:
    DVD Decrypter
    DVD Shrink
    PGC.net
    AVI.net

    Thanks for any help.

My first thought would be that the discs that aren't working/converting properly, are not ripped properly. Ensure you have the latest version of your ripping software (pgc.net I guess?) or try the latest version of DVDFab Decrypter.

All the programs i use are up to date. I haven't tryed DVDFab yet but i'll give it a try tonight. I've always just used DVD Decrypter with Ripit4me and never had this problem. If i play the movie in any player off the disc its fine. If I use Nero Recode it comes out fine. Anyways I'll try it tonight and get back with the results.

    Thanks

Ok I tried DVDFab with the same result. From what I can figure out (remember I'm some what new to this) there is nothing wrong with the VOB files. If I Open the VOB files with WMP11 or Nero Showtime the audio is fine and everything plays and sounds like it should. In Nero Showtime if you go to change language it give you 2 audio tracks. I think the first one is the 5.1 or the T01 3_2ch 448Kbps 70130ms AC3 track that I'm seeing in Avi.net, if i select the second track in Nero I get the the director comments like i get in the second track (T02 2_0ch 192Kbps 0ms AC3) in of Avi.net.

From the sounds of it Avi.net can't handle 5.1 audio. if thats the case is there away I can change or fix that or the audio track I need, or is there another program I should try?

From all of the information on the website, 5.1 audio is not the issue. You should be able to choose any of the audio tracks available. Your only choice at that point is to keep the track AC3 or convert to mp3.

Maybe because you don't have the correct AC3 codec installed for proper playback.

The only codec pack I have installed was K-Lite Codec pack (full). Is there another one I should look into?

First, codec packs are not recommended...just an FYI and all that. I don't recall of hand if that pack even installs an AC3 codec.

You could try opening the file(s) in gSpot to verify the audio/video codecs and if they are installed on your system.

For codecs, check the Tools section.
