  1. Hi!

I'm trying out AutoMKV for the first time (x264 also) and i'm quite impressed with the results. However, i have a couple of questions?

Which container should i use? If i understood correctly, the only difference between .mp4 and .mkv is that .mp4 does not support ac3 audio?
And, which filter (if any) should i use for denoise/degrain (convolution3D or removegrain) if my source is DVD(mpeg2)?

    Thanks for help in advance!!

    Bye

If you are just going to play the video on your computer/htpc it doesn't really matter if you use mkv or mp4 except if you want ac3 audio then. But if you want to play your video on some portable devices mp4 would be better.

  3. Well, i like this program very much. But have another problem: if i use subtitles (not 'burnt in), they appear too small to be useful on my TV. Is there any way to enlarge it?
