  1. I've decided to get rid of the K-Lite Codec Pack and to try working with individuals installed codecs.

    now i'm having a problem.
    it seems like i just CANT access some specific folder!
    the folder contains some video files and each time i try to open the folder
    i get that "Windows Explorer" "Dont Send" massage! and the window wont respond anymore!
    the only way i can see the folders content is through GSpot:


    any idea what the h...?

    From the Start-->Run icon in Windows, enter

    regsvr32 /u "c:\windows\system32\shmedia.dll"

    Removing the codec pack also removed the preview function for media files - that miniature version of the movie on the left side of the window.

  6. Soopafresh, i've googled the shmedia.dll file and found a lot of people
    who had the same problem...
    but i couldnt find an answer how to get the preview function back...
    now i'm startin to miss this useful function...
    is there any way to get the preview function back without run into
    freezin incidents?
