Cnet just posted some pictures of the new Milan/PlayTable computer from Microsoft... essentially a big touchscreen monitor made into a tabletop. oh wow.
An ongoing annoyance since computers first appeared is their takeover of your physical desktop; no matter what you did, there was at the least a keyboard and mouse sitting smackdab in the center of your workspace, not to mention the monitor.
Now Microsoft has done away with those peripherals!but instead of giving back somewhere to open your mail or rest your elbows, they've now taken over the entire surface!

Today's Wall Street Journal has an article on this product and other new formfactor PCs.
According to a microsoft spokesman, this is designed for hotels, casinos and other public places. It's big. -
