I'm having a similar problem as posted before. When I convert from VOB to any format, I get an empty file. Here is the error:

Encoding started on Tue May 29 12:41:26 EDT 2007
FFmpeg version CVS, Copyright (c) 2000-2004 Fabrice Bellard

    libavutil version: 49.0.0
    libavcodec version: 51.9.0
    libavformat version: 50.4.0

    Stream #0.1[0x20]: Subtitle: dvdsub
    Incorrect frame rate

Please help!! I am trying to convert internally-created DVD's to a format that can be posted on our website (.avi, .flv, .wmv, etc.). The DVD was created years ago and is the only format of the material that I have.

Thank you in advance for your help!

VIDEO_TS.VOB does not contain your main feature. (On a commercial DVD it will usually hold intro stills and clips (e.g. logos and/or messages), or as little as one black frame.)

Your main feature would likely be in VTS_01_x.VOB.

A fast Google search found a nice explanation on the structure of a DVD.

You may want to join the VOBs per Video Title Set, to get your main feature in one file.
