well i installed the drivers for my x1300 a couple of days ago and since then i have not been able to get any video's to work. sound works fine but no video. happens on multiple formats (dvd, wmv, etc.). before i installed the drivers everything was working fine. in case it matters ive tried to use vlc, nero, and wmp to attempt to play files. any ideas of what could be going on?

Plays with a black screen, audio fine? Sounds like you have a overlay setting wrong. Go to 'Control Panel>Display>Settings>Advanced'. You should have some settings specific to your video card. There should be some overlay settings there. You may have to study your video card manual.
For a quick fix, click on the 'Troubleshoot' page and move the 'Hardware acceleration' slider down to about 1/3 and see if that helps. But the overlay adjustment will give you better performance.
And welcome to our forums.
