I've got this large, DVD-compliant file that i want to burn to DVD. It is one giant file though with no way to skip ahead instantly, all i can do is Fast-forward or rewind the video.

Before i burn it to DVD i want to be able to set points, like 5 minutes ahead each. That way instead of fast-forwarding through the whole thing to see the scenes i want, i can just click the skip ahead button.

So what is a easy/free program i can use to do this? Please don't suggest TMPGENC DVD author either, as my trial run ran out on that a while back and it won't let me use it again(not paying for a program i might only use once in a year or two).

    Any help would be appreciated.

Muxman is free and you can set chapter breaks like you want, but you have to demux your DVD video into separate audio and video files for Muxman. I'm not sure based on your post if you want to do this or know enough to, but the free DVD authoring programs aren't as easy to use as TMPGenc DVD Author. There is no option in Muxman for menus either. It's pretty bare bones, but it will work fine for what you want to do. Setting a new chapter at every 9000 frames I think will give you chapters every 5 minutes.

Thanks guys, but i noticed TMPGENC DVD author released a new version. I was able to download the trial and use it to put in the chapter breaks.
