    Hi
    I'm really confused.
I used to make the backup copies of my DVDs for the convenience and "just-in-case" purposes. Ultraiso always worked great, and I used Clon Drive to mount these *.iso's. Great untill now...
Yesterday I made a copy of 3 DL DVDs (~7.5 Gb each). Everything went as usual, except, of cause it took more time. Other than that- no problems at all. But when I tryed to watch these newly made ISOs....the WinDVD 8 (and than all other soft-players) didn't play it...Well, "I saw something"- terrible pixelization, lots of "green" color, pieces of sound track..I can't even get a Menue...Then- just nothing. One more thing. I made DL ISOs before with the same soft and never experienced anything like this.

I tryed different iso-maker and clone drive (steped down to MagicIso and it's Magic Disk), reinstalled codecs, tryed Power DVD....After that I was able to play one DL ISO ONCE. On the second try- old story: pixelization, "green"...stop.

Any idea what's going on? What I'm missing here?? Any help will be heartfully appreciated.

    Thanx.

    Thanx for your advice.
I use UltraIso to make *DVD.iso file and then just store them on my external (500+500) HDs. So I play them from HD and NOT burn them to DVDs..I burnt a couple of isos before using Nero Ultra and Ultraiso itself. Never had a single problen whatsoever...

PS: I made an iso with IMGBurn...Same story- iso wont play..

Sounds like copy protection kicking in, try DVDFab Decrypter to rip to ISO.

    Heh..Exactly.
I thought about this one myself from the very begining, but..refused to believe, since it was the most obvious thing to suspect I used DVDFab, as you mentioned- worked perfectly. I just wonder- how come I didn't experience this problem before? More than 60 DVDs backed up (with UltraIso) and only now...copy protection flashed its' face?? Hmmm...

    PS: Thanx again
