    Hi

I have been having a look at a CVCD template. I have noticed that its MPEG-1 with VBR.

Can more be gained from a DivX conversion by specifying MPEG-2 for improved compression? I have never actually done a comparison and hence am unsure if MPEG-2 compression is significantly better than MPEG-1.

Also I'm interested if 2-Pass VBR would give similar or better results.

    Kind Regards

    Darren

  2. MPEG2 will make it even less compatible, and it's also more optimized for high bitrates, while MPEG1 is better for low bitrates, although you get more options using MPEG2
