  1. how i would love to just be able to capture TV in DVD quality without having to spend a bunch of time re-encoding making 2 passes just so i can burn it as a near original quality file. are there any good MPEG2 real time capturing techniques?? how about the LSX Adobe Premier plugin, is that any good? please i want to get a dvd-r so i can use it to archive TV and stuff but TV never stops to let me encode an avi know what i mean?

  2. To capture DVD quality in real time, capture 720x480 using I-Frames only at 15Mbps. You'll get great quality, and not having to process P and B frames keeps CPU utilization down. It does produce a really BIG file, but nowhere near as big as an AVI capture.
