I am looking to trade in my X-Box, games, accessories, etc and buy a Nintendo Wii. Here in the Chicagoland area two places I know of are Gamestop (formerly Funcoland) or Micro Center. Any reccommendations as to who will give a better trade-in value? Any other suggestions/stores to trade at?

if you were here in the Denver area, I'd say GameStop as MicroCenter does not sell any used games or systems and does not take them either....

You get like $30 for a used PS2 (the old fat one) when trading in to Gamestop (nee Funcoland) about a month ago. I sold my PS2 on Craigslist for $50. You may be able to argue the trade-in value for more store credit to get a game or something, but trading in my PS2 for half of a PS3 game was a little ridiculous to me.

Yea I am not expecting to make a ton off of my system and old games, but I was hoping to get more via trade-in rather than just selling (GameStop does that). In terms of MicroCenter, not all stores have the "Gaming Center" but the one in Westmont Illinois does. I also did some cheking into selling it online, a site which seemed to give me a good deal was sellgamesonline.com, but after checking a few opinions online about them I am a little gun-shy.

They just did a big fat messy remodel to put the Gaming Center in, but no trading.
I think it may have something to do with Colorado's funky "blue laws" and their possible inability to obtain a pawn license for the county that the store is located in....
