    Does anyone know of a freeware program to convert wmv to avi? I've tried a couple but they are just trial versions and only allow me to convert 50 percent.

    If anyone can help, I would appriciate it.

    Try Super it converts just about anything to just about everything

    WMM will only convert it to DV avi, which usually means resizing as well. Not the best solution for most conversions.

    I've converted several WMVs to divx/mp3 AVIs using Virtualdub-MPEG2 with very good results. If you're not familiar with Virtualdub or its variants then Super would probably be easier.

    You'll also need to install this from MS:
    http://download.microsoft.com/download/9/8/a/98a6cb2d-6659-485e-b1f9-2c0d9bf6c328/wmv9VCMsetup.exe
