  1. Is it possible to convert screensaver files, ending in .saver , to any form of Quicktime manipulable format?

    Thanks for any help, Michael

First can they be played on the mac with some kind of app?
if so, then they can be "hijacked" to a QT .mov file
    with iShowU.

  3. Terry, hi. Thanks for your suggestion. Well worth a try, although I was hoping there might be something a program like ffmpeg or MPEG Streamclip could do. Just to avoid the 'real time' involved with using iShowU, and also because, with Macs, we do just get used to our machines... just doing it, don't we.

    Thanks again, Michael

by doing it, if you mean learning how to "skin a cat" 1000
    different ways, then yes.
iShowU is so intergrated in my "toolbox" it easily
has moved up to my 2nd or 3rd option of getting
    things done quickly.

    YMMV.
