I need advice on a DVD Burner. I have an internal one now, but looking to buy an external one. I'm not sure if all burners support dual-layer DVDs (sorry, I'm not smart at this stuff). If they don't, then I need an external one that does support dual-layer DVDs.
Any advice?

At this point in time any DVDwriter not on the clearance tables at major retailers is dual-layer.
And the packaging clearly says so.
Just remember DL media is substantially more expensive than single layer and more likely to generate coasters.
And whatever you do stay away from DVD-R/DL.
