  1. i read people saying convertxtodvd is the best, when i try any avi i ask to convert says unsupported file!!

    drag the unsupported AVI into Gspot or Mediainfo and post a screen shot.

    what does the convertxtodvd log file say?
    and are you using latest convertxtodvd?

    You also might want to update Gspot to version 2.70 as 2.21 is very outdated and doesn't handle MPG format very well. 2.70 also identifies VBR audio clearly, which can cause problems with many MPEG encoders and converters.

    Just a added note: I usually check my net videos with Gspot 2.70 before I convert them, looking for MP3 VBR audio. It's common with Xvids off the net. ConvertX does handle most MP3 VBR audio fairly well, but you may run into a few that need more preparation before conversion. You can use this method, then mux the audio back in with the original file before converting with ConvertX. https://forum.videohelp.com/topic280779.html
