Hi, I'm trying to convert a Quicktime .mov to .flv with ffmpegX. The Quicktime was exported from Final Cut Pro with the default "Broadband-Medium" settings. The file stutters during playback, not like a low framerate stutter, but an irregullar stutter, like it loads a couple frames, shows them one after the other, and then pauses a bit before showing any other frames. I'm using the flv player at http://www.jeroenwijering.com/ , which is the one ffmpegX recommends, so I figure it should work, and I know it works with other flv files.

Any clues about why this is happening? I think other user's have had similar problems. When I encode the flv, the only change to the default settings that I make is to check "Invert mapping" under Audio, since if I don't, it just makes a Zero KB file.

Thanks for any tips you can give.

  2. I'm having the same problem. The quality of the movie appears to be good -- but it's that irregular stutter that makes it unbearable. Any and all help would be appreciated.

I've used the standard export to Final Cut movie (in ver 4.5 it's called export to QuickTime movie) and imported it into ffmpegx, then exported a flash file and have had no problems. I also use Jeroen Wijering flash player
