    Just purchased SVCD2DVD, can this software process video files with extension MP4. Generates error Microsoft report when trying to add assets.

    Yes it can. What is the audio type on the file?
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

    Well that explains it. AAC is not supported in the version you have downloaded. I will PM you a version which does handle it.
