    Hello folks!

I have a material in a miniDV tape. Well, I don't own a miniDV camera, so I asking a pro to capture to a personal computer.

This pro one have an Apple Macintosh plataform. So he ask me the format I want the captured DV video to work in my WindowsXP/Adobe Premiere 7.0 to edit this video. He told me about two possible formats (.mov and .avi)

So, I am very confused. What format must I get the captured DV video to edit in my personal computer?

    Thank you,

  2. AVI is probably the best because it is uncompressed and as such should be easier to work with and you won't lose quality, like you might with other formats.
Premiere will import AVI but I don't know that it will import .mov

You want DV-AVI (DV format in an avi wrapper). It should be compatible with XP DirectShow, the XP version Adobe Premiere Pro and you should put in the terms that the XP version of Adobe Premiere Pro should import the file before payment is due.
