    hello,
    this should be a simple task, but I can't find the the way to do it.
    I know there are simple programs that do this job, but I need to do this with AE because I have to add other effects and then compress the whole thing in MPEG2. Otherwise I have to compress the video twice, and that's not good.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I'm doing this off the cuff, as I'm not at the workstation right now...

    Everything added to an AE timeline has basic parameters: Size, Position, Opacity, etc.
    By default, the size is 100%H,100%W. Make one of these "-100%".

    To confirm, yes, you have to make the horizontal width -100.

    But you have to unlock the scale.
