Monitor

Hello. I was successfully able to monitor the audio plugged into my "line-in" before recording with the 30 second Voice quality sampler selected. I stopped recording, played it and worked fine. I re-attempted the same procedure, but I can no longer monitor any audio prior to and during a recording. The monitor IS selected ON. I've uninstalled, re-downloaded and re-installed, and deleted the Voice Quality pre-set and there's still no difference. Any suggestions?

How about your sound card? Windows Mixer? Control Panel, have you ticked the check box?

Yes they are all checked on, nothing on mute and none of the sliders on low or zero. I started using another audio program that does exactly what I want it to do, but only on a one month free trial. If I have to pay, I will but I'd like to keep the cost at minimum if possible once that free trial period ends. For this program (Gold Wave) it's easy to use but there has to be another way to get that monitor feature to work. Any other ideas Mike or anyone else?
