  1. I tryed to open the System Information tool but it wont open!
i tryed to do it by clickin "start" > "Programs" > "Accessories" > "System tools" > "System information" - but nothing happened!
i''ve also tryed to do it through "Start" > "Run" > msinfo32.exe - but nothing!

  2. Maybe msinfo32.exe or one of its dependants has become damaged by a virus or a power loss/bad shutdown.

First do a complete virus scan, then do a complete hard disk check/repair.

  4. Also try using the run command. open run
    type cmd
then type in the command prompt window sfc /scannow
that will check for corrupted or missing files.

Try a test and see if Ctrl-Alt-Del brings up the Task Manager.

is this scan gonna replace hardware drivers too?
cause some of my hardware drivers dont have microsoft signature... (installed them from a CD)

    thanks for your help!

  6. No, it only checks the windows components. Not drivers. It checks to see if they are missing, corrupted etc.

  8. A repair will not fix it if it is due to some kind of Malware
