Depends on how you are wanting to use them. For playback just attach the video outputs of each player to the TV inputs.

Presumably you want to record from the Humax inbuilt Freeview tuner, but what about the VHS? Do you only want to be able to record off air from it's own inbuilt analogue tuner or do you want to be able to record what the TV is displaying? Is your Panasonic and IDTV or analogue only?

record what the tv is displaying. i am set up now to obviously record all freeview channels on my Humax. i have just bought a dvdr/vhs combo to transfer videos onto dvd and i reckon it may as well be able to record on both for use on other stuff in another room

If you connect the Humax to Scart 1 on the TV, that should get that working normally. Connect the combo unit to Scart 2. On all modern Panasonic TVs, Scart 2 can by configured to output whatever is being displayed on the screen, be it the signal from the TVs own tuner or whatever it is showing that is coming in from Scart 1. As long as you can set this, you should be able to record to VHS by selecting the source as the Scart input on the combo.
