    Hi -

I am having a problem ripping a tv series disc to xvid.
What it looks like is that the IFO files are referencing differnt VOB's so VTS_02_0 will be the first part of the show and the second could possibly be under VTS_03_2.

Do I just have to do trial and error and match up each vob I rip or is there an easier way of backing up these episodes? I do not want to back up the DVD to DVD but back up each individual episode to have more on one DVD for ease of access?

I tried searching but my search fu is weak and I did not find anything that I thought that helped.

    I have installed:
    dvd decryptor
    AutoGK

I have followed this guide with success in the past:

but have not come across anything like this before.

    Thanks for all the help!!!!

There's an easier way - a much easier way. Decrypt by PGC. Use DVD Decrypter in IFO Mode (which isn't the default) and it'll give you the longest PGC (episode) by default. But if you look around you'll find the rest. Decrypt each to its own folder.

With them already on the hard drive, open the IFOs that contain the various episodes in PGCDemux and demux them, or "Create A PGC VOB" instead. Then feed the result to AutoGK.

  4. Put DVD Decrypter in IFO mode. This will allow you to rip individual episodes. If you also desable file splitting it will produce one VOB per episode.
