I have a 1080i video I want to watch comprised of 4GB worth of 100MB .ts files
If I select all of them and drag onto the VLC player, there is a little pause when each section finishes and the new one starts up again. That’s annoying and hard to watch.
If I use an HDTV->MPEG converter (http://www.midwinter.com/~bcooley/) the resulting video file (played in VLC) will play fine, but if I try to pause or skip ahead, the video just stops (though it looks like the player might be trying to do something ). I’m using K-Lite Mega Codec Pack 1.53. Trying to play with Media Player Classic yields really choppy video.
Any ideas on how to get either of these methods to work well, or even alternate methods / software / etc?
thanks!
edit: Using XP SP2. up-to-date VLC and Media Player Classic. Currently downloading the latest K-Lite codec pack.

Have you tried latest hdtvtompeg2? http://download.videohelp.com/download/HDTVtoMPEG2_v1.11.89.zip
You can also try TSSplitter. -
