I downloaded DVD Flick as a first option since it is free, says it can incorporate subtitles and is recommended here. I placed the .srt files in the same folder with the movie files (same names movie=.srt).
DVD Flick accepted the .srt files, ran for 1.54 hours, ticked all the boxes to say it had carried out all the tasks including 'Add Subtitles'.
However I cannot see the subtitles in my Sony dvd player or on computer. I have tried VLC and Windows Mediaplayer as well as a couple of linux players. Any ideas please? Please say if you need further info.
I have now successfully made a dvd with subtitles using WinAVI in about 40 minutes. Seems WinAVI will take .srt files but not .sub files.
WinAVI also merged the 2 avi files into one dvd title whereas DVD Flick said it would do that but produced 2 titles.
I would still like to know whether DVD Flick CAN do it, but I did something wrong.
