    i have a few videos that i would like to crop. How can i crop them using VDMod? I just want to crop them - quickly. Is there a quick way? How log would it take to crop 700MB file.

    Use the null transform filter, you will have to re-encode though. 700mb means nothing, it could be a few seconds of uncompressed AVI or hours of low bitrate AVI.

    Cropping can be added to any filter in VirtualDub. The crop will take place before the filter. If you're not using any other filters add the Null Transform filter (does nothing) and add cropping to that.

    How long it takes will depend mostly on the codec you use to compress the result, the codec settings used, the frame size of the video, the frame rate, the running time, and the speed of your computer. Anywhere from a few seconds to many hours.
