I burned a DL DVD video without knowing anything about setting the break point manually. I used a HP DVD+R DL disk and Nero and from what I understand Nero will just pick a break point on its own. Some posts here have said they just let the software set the break with no problems, others have suggested that doing this may result in a hitch in the video playback at the point of the break.

What I am wondering is, is there any easy way (other than watch the whole video) for me to find the break point that Nero inserted during the burn so I can scan to that point in the video to see if it has this hitch in it? Thanks for any help.

I'm not sure you understand my question (or maybe I dont understant that link).

I am not trying to figure out where to place the break point for a new burn. I have already burned a disk and just want to find out where the layer break point is. (if this is possible)

Supposedly the top half has more data than the second half (requirement)

  6. DVD Decrypter and ImgBurn list "the last physical sector in layer 0," (which is the first layer of a dual layer disc) so the layer break comes right after that.

There should be a program out there somewhere that will take you to specified disc sector, but I don't personally know of one.
