    I tried to encode with TMPGEnc.2.50 in Automatic VBR (CQ_VBR) mode, changed the settings (Q, min, max), but TMPG keeps encoding with Q=50, min=0, max=3000 (default settings).
    The same happened with TMPGEnc.Plus 2.5
    Also the Plus version did not accept any external tools.
    Did anyone noticed that?

    Other people have reported problems w/ TMPGenc 2.5 and VBR encoding. You need to step back to 2.02 (others might work but I know that 2.02 does).

    What is the "TMPGEnc.Plus 2.5 " ?

    And what is the "plus" in the encoder?

    The Plus in the encoder means ulimited mpeg 2 encodeing and support when you buy it legaly and some what faster and better quality
