It would be great if in addition to converting my VHS to DVDS with it, I could also work on my analog music collection as well.

    Thanks for the opinions!

This is a cheap product - and a blatant sales pitch.

But it provides an understanding of how to convert your music. With a little effort you can find freeware to perform the functions that Windows media player does not provde.

Thanks Jerry..er , I mean Old and in the way(midnight moonlight my favorite)
I suppose I was trying to avoid the work of changing video/audio set-up and figuring out how to plug a cable into a soundcard. I thought that if you could just connect a cassette player to the "audio in" of a video capture device, I could use one gizmo for the same thing. No idea if these things will convert to MPEG-2s for burning CDs.

    Thanks for the tutorial

Well if you try it and you can play the audio, audiology will capture it and can export to wav or mp3.

I look like Jerry and I were separated at birth, especially since I resisted my wife's suggestion for a haircut. My musical abilities are limited to listening but I too am fond of midnight moonlight.

Thanks for the tip. I am quickly moving toward the "bear" look too and will probably have to start shopping for black T shirts ala Jerry very shortly.
