Just added new ati "tv wonder ve" capture card and now my tmpgenc wont open the d2v files. [Even ones that I had just opened an hour before installing card] I am sure it has altered some codec's setting or priority, I just cant find where. I have tried the standard checklist below found on a search of this forum - to no avail - any other ideas?
OK, here is the checklist:
dvd2avi.vfp is in the same directory like dvd2avi.exe
TMPGEnc.vfp is in the same directory like TMPGEnc.exe
run TMPGENcVFP_INSTALL.bat
check TMPGEnc vfp is registered to VFAPI (TMPG>option)
check VFAPI plugin (dvd2avi>help)
TMPG> option> enviromental setting> VFAPI> check dvd2avi project file reader and/or select a higher priority.
Do not delete or move the .vob files. Open *.d2v with wordpad to check the correct path.

I am not sure if this will lend any clue to one of the experts but the above problem of using tmpgenc appears to be limited to dvd's because I was able tonight to convert an avi file from a Divx movie into a SVCD with no problems
