Hi!
I've had some great results copying VHS tapes to VCD but have run into a problem which I haven't been able to find the answer to. Any help gratefully accepted;
I'm trying to copy a VHS concert and near the beginning there is a bit of disturbace on the tape - visuals only, the soundtrack is fine. Result is that the audio track keeps going but the video capture seems to 'automatically edit' out the offending frames. Result is the audio and video are completely out of synch.
I'm using Virtualdub 1.4c for the capture and results previously have been great. I have several old tapes that I need to convert so I envision this becoming a real problem unless there is a method of sorting it out (and I really, really hope so!!).
Many thanks,
Mike

if there is no clear input signal, video is considered 'bad', i didn't know that would cause vdub to skip those 'bad' frames... you might want to try another capture program that replaces the bad frames with blank frames... running your source material through a timebase converter will also solve the problem (but is a costly solution, i guess)
... this copy of me hasn't been registered for the last 36 years! (no spamming please)
