Will Netflix delay my DVD delivery if I return them too soon? I return 4 after using them for one day. I usually receive them in 1-2 days. Thanks in advance!

No.
Netflix "delaying delivery" is just another bullshit online rumor. There are many factors that affect speed of Netflix rentals, and the rumors are based on false logic. Queue preference to lower-volume renters, USPS speed, and sorting facility speed are the three main factors. If you rent a lot of movies, maintain a full queue (25+ movies) and make sure not all of them brand new releases.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

Thanks lordsmurf! I rent 4 at a time, have 31 in queue and about 1 in 10 is a brand new release. I should be OK.

According to a Netflix regional manager the answer is "Yes".
Considering I'm a satisfied customer I found this guy's honest conversation refreshing.
Basically trial and new customers will get priority. But keep going and check back with your experiences in a few months.
Also if you read their terms and agreements you'll find why the answer is yes.
Considering the continued price increases at the stores like Movie Gallery, Netflix/ BB are a good deal even if they do delay sometimes.
MG in my area is now $4.09 + tax. That's just crazy...especially for catalog titles.
Enjoy,

oops, just went up again...now $4.19 + tax. So sad it's funny. -

i experienced a "slow down" in delivery.
we have a broad spectrum need. i like documentaries and top tier movies, the wife likes chick flicks and simple comedies, the kids like kid movies. we vary our movies and often don't watch them when they come in as whoever listed it is not in the mood to see it. it gets sent back right away. on occasion it might last a couple of days, rarely more often.
we had a slowdown. after extensive searching i found how to email the company. i asked how i could improve turn-around time. they replied with a "canned" response of the ststed policy of sending the newer movies to newer and lesser rental customers.
i replied that i was aware of the policy but had many older movies listed that could be shipped and delivery had still had slowed.
they didn't respond, but delivery is again mostly next day. new movies are more available. i'm not trying to copy the studio catalog. i see what i can and rerurn. they send the next on the list in fast and fair time.
no complaints. -

But I've found the biggest delay in shipping to be the USPS - no offense to anyone that works for the post officeIn April (right around tax day) I sent a movie back and instead of (Netflix) receiving it the next day, like they usually do (I use the same branch of the PO that Netflix uses), it took 4 days for them to receive it.

The USPS has a delivery percentage they must meet. They still have controls they have to follow. My state has a 95% one day delivery rate. Not bad due to the other 5% being in the mountains.
We may never know for sure unless you have a friend high up in the company just what is going on and with whom. It's still a good deal compared to retail stores , if you noticed my post above...$4.19, wow. Either way I am satisfied with the USPS and Netflix. Sure they (netflix) can get to you by jumping over series titles that show available "now" but what do you do. I have about 5 centers within 75 miles of my house so things are going good at the moment. Cant complain.
Happy renting all,
Regards,
